Crystal Yi focuses her practice on all facets of trademark law, including trademark strategy, clearance, prosecution, maintenance, enforcement, and licensing.

Before joining BSKB, Ms. Yi gained invaluable expertise in trademark prosecution, enforcement, and policy as an Attorney Advisor at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for nearly nine years. At the USPTO, Ms. Yi examined tens of thousands of federal trademark applications, and acquired extensive experience with maintenance filings and post-registration audits, petitions to the Director and letters of protest, as well as TMA proceedings. Ms. Yi also exhibited a high degree of success in defending appeals before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Ms. Yi continued her career at the USPTO as Attorney Advisor for the Register Protection Office in the Office of Trademark Examination Policy, where Ms. Yi advised on USPTO policy and acted as legal liaison to protect the accuracy and integrity of the Trademark Register. This firsthand knowledge of the USPTO's procedures, standards, and policies affords Ms. Yi a unique perspective in representing clients.
